FAQS

Explore common questions about our generators, features, and commitment to renewable energy.

What power output and capacity does the Powerhouse provide?

The Powerhouse delivers a 7200 W split-phase (120 V/240 V) pure-sine-wave output, with a base battery capacity of 4800 Wh.

Can I expand the system to increase runtime or capacity?

Yes - the Powerhouse supports expansion through additional “Power Pods” (extra battery units) and more solar panels or wind input, allowing you to boost storage capacity and charging potential over time.

What charging / input options are available?

The unit supports multiple charging methods: AC (wall outlet), solar, and wind - giving flexibility for off-grid, renewable, or backup-power uses.

Can it integrate with my home’s electrical circuits?

Yes, the Powerhouse is “home-integration ready,” able to connect via a transfer switch or power inlet box to supply power to home circuits during outages.

What kinds of devices or appliances can it power?

It’s capable of powering a wide range, from small electronics (phones, routers, lights) to heavier loads (refrigerators, well pumps, air conditioners, water heaters), as long as total load stays within the 7200 W output limit.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • I am interested in the Powerhouse Gold. What type of plug/ connector is required for the 240v outlet? I cannot tell from the picture. Are any cables included in this kit?

Hi John, Thank you for your query. It is a NEMA L14-30R 30 Amp 125/250V Twist Lock, and yes, all the cables to set up this system is already included in the package. If you have any follow-up questions, you may reach our support directly via (800) 203-7516, chat, and or email us at support@naturesgenerator.com

  • Can the Nature's Generator Powerhouse be connected with the Nature's Generator Elite systems?

Hi Mike, Thank you for your query. Sadly, this is not something the powerhouse supports. If you have any follow-up questions, you may reach our support directly via (800) 203-7516, chat, and or email us at support@naturesgenerator.com
We'll be more than happy to assist you!

  • Does this unit offer pass through charging? Can it be charged via 120 and still output power?

    Hi Jeff,

Thank you for reaching out! The Powerhouse Generator doesn't have a pass-through charging feature. The unit will stop providing an output once charging via AC input however, the unit can be used while being charged if you charge the unit using solar and wind input. If you have any follow-up questions, you may reach our support directly via (800) 975-7909, or email us at support@naturesgenerator.com. We'll be more than happy to assist you!

  • Could this system be used as a constant power source for daily use in a workshop, or is more standby emergency power supply?

    Hi Craig,

Thank you for reaching out! You can use the Powerhouse Generator on a daily basis as long as you have enough battery capacity to power up your appliances / tools and you don't exceed the supported wattage of the Powerhouse which is 7200-watts. If you have any follow-up questions, you may reach our support directly via (800) 975-7909, or email us at support@naturesgenerator.com. We'll be more than happy to assist you!

  • How long does it take to charge the power station with the 2 panels provided with the unit.#2 how long does it take with the 1000 w wind turbine attachment.

    Hi Charles,

Thank you for reaching out and for showing interest in our products. Charging the Nature's Generator Powerhouse with two 410w solar panels takes approximately eight to ten hours, and approximately fifteen to seventeen hours when charging via a 350w wind turbine alone. However, the recharge time with solar panels and wind turbines will depend on the strength of the sunlight and the windspeed. You can also lessen the recharge time by charging the generator via solar and wind simultaneously. If you have any follow-up questions, you may reach our support directly via (800) 975-7909, or email us at support@naturesgenerator.com. We'll be more than happy to assist you!

  • I see that your system utilizes a lead acid battery. Is it possible to purchase the system with FE batteries instead?

    Hi Dennis,

Thank you for reaching out. Nature's Generator Powerhouse is not designed to use a different type of batteries aside from the Sealed-Lead Acid batteries. However, we will take this as feedback so we can improve our products in the future. If you have any follow-up questions, you may reach our support directly via (800) 975-7909, or email us at support@naturesgenerator.com. We'll be more than happy to assist you!

  • Is it OK to leave the Power House plugged into the main power socket of the house? So that it stays charged.

    Hi Carlos,

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, you can leave the powerhouse generator plugged into your wall outlet since it has an overcharge protection feature. However, we highly suggest you use the solar panels if you're planning to leave it plugged in to save from electricity bills. If you have any follow-up questions, you may reach our support directly via (800) 975-7909, or email us at support@naturesgenerator.com. We'll be more than happy to assist you!

  • On Powerhouse with 2, 410w Panels, Question is When sun is on 2 Panels charging, How many watts should meter be reading? Its showing less than 300.

    Hi Joann,

Thank you for your query! The Powerhouse solar panel is graded 410-watt each. Also, the solar input might be lower than 410-watt depending on the strength of the sunlight in your area. It may also lessen the charge depending on the battery level of the generator to avoid battery damage such as over charged battery. If you have any follow-up questions, you may reach our support directly via (800) 975-7909, or email us at support@naturesgenerator.com. We'll be more than happy to assist you!

  • How long does it take to fully charge with 110v and with the solar panels?

    Hi Roger,
Thank you for reaching out. The estimated recharge time via AC input with two solar panels is approximately 5-7 hours depending on the strength of the sunlight the solar panels are getting to charge the Powerhouse Generator. If you have any follow-up questions, you may reach our support directly via (800) 975-7909, or email us at support@naturesgenerator.com. We'll be more than happy to assist you!

  • Are these made in USA?
