12-Circuit 120/240V 30A Non-Automatic Transfer Switch

Hi, for the 12-circuit 30A transfer switch, can the 2-pole breakers be replaced with single pole breakers? I want to reconfigure the switch for 12 individual 15 and 20 amp circuit breakers. And would the built in wiring support this configuration? Thanks

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, you can replace the 2-pole breakers to single pole breakers. This product is supplied with 120V/15-amp and 240V/20-amp circuit breakers as default. All circuit breaker positions can accommodate 15- or 20-amp circuit breakers. I know the 15 amp breakers can be switched out to 20 amp. Must they be purchased from you or can we use breakers from Square D, GE, Cuttler Hammer, etc.?

Can this be used with a 9000 max watt generator?

However, there will be limitations since the 12-Circuit 120/240V 30A Non-Automatic Transfer Switch can only provide an output up to 7,200 watts max. We hope this answers your question. Can we order it with just all 15 amp breakers?

Is there a recommended maximum generator wattage for this transfer switch?

The technical specs show L1&L2 and R1&R2 as the 230V circuits, but the description says any combination of 6x 230V and 12x 115V. How many 230V circuits can I wire?

Can I use any generator (gas or battery) with this transfer switch?

The illuminated rocker switches are they on all the time? If Im using a battery backup are they going to be sucking on the battery 24/7?

Do you need to shut off the main breaker panel to use this?
