Can i run appliances while charging my generator (Elite) an electrician said i should not. The manual says i can but i was unsure if the manual was only referring to the usb ports, and not major appliances. Thanks

If I have a power pod and generator daisy chained, 2 panels(200 W) charging Generator, and 1 panel(100 W) charging pod. When the Generator is fully charged will it then begin charing the Power pod? If I add another pod, is it better to have one panel for each pod and generator?

If I have 6-100w solar panels connected in series then routed to natures generator with 2 additional pods can the wattage go thru the main unit to charge the other 2 with that type of wattage or do they have to run independently to each pod ( 200 w ) per pod?

Will Nature's generator run an 8,000 btu portable a/c unit? What if a power pod is added? If yes, for how long?

Our Nature's Generator Elite can run an 8000 BTU AC unit, However, the run time will be limited to an average of 15 minutes - 30 minutes. 

You can add a power pod to extend the run time, each power pod will give you an extra 30 minutes of run time.

I want to purchase a Nature's Generator Elite, however the problem is that I know I will eventually need a second battery. And the $500 "power pod" is way overpriced for just a 100ah battery. Can I use another brand's 100ah battery, if they are the same battery type? I don't want to void the warranty.

Sadly, the only battery packs that are compatible to connect to our generators are Nature's Generator power pods. Why does the pod have 100ah, 1200 wh, when the main unit has 60ah, 720 wh...according to the tech specs?

The pod has a higher battery capacity since it was designed specifically to extend the battery life of the generator itself. That was the only purpose why the pod has a greater battery capacity. The reason the generator is smaller is that at the time it was built, the inverter was on the side so there was not enough room for the larger battery.

The Natures Generator can be recharged via the solar panels up to 200 watts and the added POD charges at the same time. I see that the pod has it's own Anderson pole connectors for solar. How many panels will the pod accept for it's added recharge since the generator has the power inverter and the POD does not?

I purchased two portable systems, the generator with an included solar panel; and another generator with the included solar panel and wind turbine. How can I add more power and run time to each? I want to power two refrigerators and a freezer. Also can I use for washer and dryer.

To add more power / runtime you would add Power Pods, as many as you may need to get the desired run time you are looking for. We would also recommend adding more solar panels with every order of the Power Pod to make sure you have enough to recharge the system.


For washer and dryers it is not recommended, as those tend to have a high wattage draw or are higher amperage than the system itself.

As long as you have the Power Pod connected to the Nature's Generator it will charge both at the same time.  The most our Power Pod will allow in solar charge is 200W, it would not allow more than that.  The Power Pod comes with the necessary expansion cable to connect to the Nature's Generator.

The Power Pod will not work the same as the generator, as the Power Pod does not have an inverter, 3 120V AC Outlets, USB Ports or an LCD.  The Power Pod is an addition to the generator to provide more battery capacity which will provide a longer run time.

So basically it would be stacking in parallel the Pod's acid battery and the Generator's Lithium battery? Is that completely safe? Also is there any maintenance to be done on the acid battery? Thanks

Is the pod weather resistant or does it need to be covered

Can the Power Pods be charge using the Wind Turbine ? If so How?

Unfortunately, the Power Pod's do not have a dedicated wind turbine input, only our generator does.  If you wanted to recharge the Power Pod with the wind turbine, the Power Pod would need to be connected to the generator when the wind turbine is connected.

Having issue connecting my Nature's Power Pod connector to my Nature's Generator - is there some kind of trick to connect the two? I am afraid that I might break one of the connectors by forcing them together. Any help would be deeply appreciated here. Thanks

Hi Jim: The two connector pieces are designed to have a tight fit, like you are experiencing.  If you place a slight downward force while inserting the connection cable into the generator, that should help them connect.  Thanks, Greg

What is the operating temperature? Could this be installed in an unheated garage thoughout a Northeast winter or would it need to be installed in a heated environment?

The cable needed for connecting the Power Pod to the Nature's Generator is built into the Power Pod. You should be able to get a glance of the cable in the product images

If you have multiple power pods attached to one generator, all the daisy-chained power pods will charge at the same time.

Alternatively, you can also take advantage of the solar input of each power pod to enable faster charging. This will allow the pods to charge more efficiently when solar energy is available.

What size pipe is needed to set up your wind generator... does it need threads?

Our wind turbine is designed to mount on a nominal 1.5-inch schedule 40 steel tubing or piping.  The outside diameter of the tubing or piping shall be around 1.875 to 1.900 inches.  Under no circumstances should the plastic pipe be used to construct a tower.  The tower must be capable of withstanding 160 pounds of load in the horizontal direction of the wind turbine. Thanks for your query! We do have a wind turbine that is easy to install, the pole is the only thing that is not included with our wind turbines. We recommend our customers to install the wind turbine 20 feet above ground to maximize the wind input of the wind turbines. You can connect the wind turbine to the generator since the generator has AC input, solar input, and wind input. The power pod can share the charge of the generator using wind once the pod is daisy-chained to the generator. I don't see a way to connect more than 1 pod to the generator. How do I connect multiple pods to the generator?
