How many 240 volt breakers can this unit accommodate?
Alternatively, if only tying to 120 volt circuits, can it handle two different solar generator inputs, and use them to power each 120 volt leg separately?
Hi Jim, Thank you for reaching out.
The unit can accommodate 12 of 240V 1-inch breakers.
However, two solar generators cannot be used at the same time. Only one solar generator can be connected at a time to power the system.

I see the manual states:BE AWARE OF AUTOMATIC START-UP! THIS AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH STARTS AUTOMATICALLY
WHEN EITHER THE MAIN POWER SOURCE OR BACKUP SOURCE ENERGIZES THIS AUTOMATIC TRANSFER
SWITCH. Is this different from most ATS?
Hi Raymond,
Thank you for reaching out. Nature's Generator 125A Automatic Transfer Switch is almost the same with different ATS. We're putting warnings on the manual as we value our customer's safety. I am considering purchasing one of these auto transfer switches for our home. Currently we have a portable Westinghouse gas generator that stays plugged into the main breaker box through a gen inlet plug. When the power goes out we start our gen (has FOB) we open the main brker and the generator breaker closes and feeds the whole house. We have an interlock (between main & gen breaker, required by local light co.).
Once the Nature Gen ATS is hooked up and it’s configured to feed from the grid most of the time. What happens if the power goes out? Does the Nat Gen ATS switch and attempt to feed from the back up gas generator side? If the Nat Gen ATS switches, will the ATS switch back and forth until it senses load on one side or the other? I probably need to speak to someone that has a good understanding of how this ATS works because I didn't think they were available for portable generators. Which I think this one is. Thanks.
Ray
Hi Ray,
Thank you for your question! The Automatic transfer switch automatically switch from the grid to the back up generator as long as the back up generator is active. The best way to use the automatic transfer switch is with a generator that has a UPS feature so that you don't need to physically turn on the unit or switch the power from grid to the generator since if the automatic transfer switch will not switch to back up if it doesn't sense a power from the generator.
