Hi Ian,Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately, our automatic transfer switch doesn't have the feature to switch to backup when in peak hours. The feature of the automatic transfer switch is that it automatically switches to backup when the grid is down. Also, the backup power should be on standby. What you can do is turn off the main power when in peak hours so that the transfer switch can switch to back up, and when the peak hours are done, you can turn back on the main power to switch it back.
