About the Product:
This industry first 125A, 24 space / 48 circuit automatic transfer switch is completely universal and works with almost all solar generators on the market! As ESS (energy storage solutions) or back-up batteries continue to increase in popularity, this unit is fully battery back-up ready! The unit is easy to integrate to any existing home load center and will automatically “kick” over to the battery back-up seamlessly if there is any loss of power from the grid.
This unit is a NEMA-3R rated enclosure and can be used either indoors or outdoors. The unit also features a manual override switch and can be used in either 120/208V or 120/240V applications. There is also an optional semi-surface mount kit that can be purchased separately. Never be without power again with the Nature’s Generator 125A automatic transfer switch.

Thank you for your question! The Automatic transfer switch automatically switch from the grid to the back up generator as long as the back up generator is active. The best way to use the automatic transfer switch is with a generator that has a UPS feature so that you don't need to physically turn on the unit or switch the power from grid to the generator since if the automatic transfer switch will not switch to back up if it doesn't sense a power from the generator.
