  • I own the platinum bundle (1 generator, 1 battery pack, and 3 panels). What is the recommended and supported BTU capacity that I can hook up to this bundle that would provide a full day (10-12 hours) worth of usage in the event of a power outage. Thank you!

    Hello Kevin,

    Thanks for your inquiry.

I appreciate your time reaching us. It will depend on how many BTUs is it. Honestly, it won't help your AC run 10 - 12 hours. Your generator might be having a hard time sustaining its wattage consumption.

  • I'm with a city in CA, and we just purchased 6 of these generators (1800w) with some of our Homeland grant funds. I'm putting together what I hope is a simple guide for our employees. I've seen data that a laptop can be powered for 12+ hours. Can we use basic math and say that, if a separate laptop is plugged into each of the three outlets, these devices will each run for some 4-hours?

    Hello John,

    Thanks for your inquiry.

I appreciate your time reaching us. You are absolutely correct! It will run for 4 hours each.

Please let me know if you have any other concerns and I'll be more than happy to assist you.

  • I have had the Natures Generator and two pods for a couple of years and I love it! My question is around the charging Watts. Due to cloudy weather, I am never close to the 200 watts during charging of the generator or pods. If I use a 300 watt panel and I have a sunny day, will I damage the unit or does it have a safety device built in that will only allow for the 200 watts in charging power?

    Hello Kevin,

    Thanks for your inquiry.

A 300 watts solar panel might be possible if you have Nature's generator Elite (Black and green in color), but if you have the standard system (White and green in color) it can only handle up to 200 watts of solar charging,  anything more than 200 watts will not be safe for the generator.

Should you have any other concerns, please email us at support@naturesgenerator.com

  • Can I charge my unit with a 12 volt connection

Hi Dawn, thank you for reaching out. Yes, the Generator can be charged using the 12V DC outlet available on its front panel. However, please be advised that it's not designed to quickly charge the Generator. It's still best to use the AC, Solar, and wind inputs for charging. If you have more questions, kindly send us an email at support@naturesgenerator.com/

  • How long does it take to recharge a Nature’s Generator with a Wind Turbine at maximum output.

    Hi James,

It will take around anywhere from 4 to 6 hours to fully charge a Nature's Generator. Assuming that it's running at its peak power output. If you have more questions, please feel free to email us at support@naturesgenerator.com.

  • I have had the 1800 watt generator for about 2 1/2 years and I have one power pod on it. I had an O2 machine running on it and the unit started beeping. I didn't hear it for a while and I think I drained the main battery. I plugged in the ac cord and it charged intermittently and then the display panel and charging light went out. The battery gave off an odd smell. I have tried to jump start it. While the jumper cables were attached to the battery the display came on for a few seconds and showed a full charge then went out. . Still nothing on the display or charging light. I can power it on and run and appliance with no problem. What in the world have I done? Did I burn something out? Could it be a fuse problem? I am electronically challenged and need help!

    Hello Carolyn,

I'm sorry to hear you had such a frustrating experience, but I really appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Rest assured that we will do our best to help. Please send us a short video showing the generator issue so we can figure out where the problem is coming from.

  • Hello, your systems are very interesting. I'm curious to use this system for motorcycle racing applications that require the continuous maintenance warming of tires. Warmers typically run 300-700 watts continuous, and 1000 watts peak, and are designed to work with small gas generators, approx 2000 watts. How long would the base system run? How much expansion via solar, power pod, or wind would it take to make it stable ( no pause for charging )? Additionally, if I have 500 watts of wind and solar coming into your system, can I pull 500 watts out via AC? What is your overall efficiency?

    Hello Jonathan,

    Thanks for reaching us!

If you have 300-700 watts continuous, out Nature's generator elite (1200watts) will give you approximately 1-2 hours of continuous runtime. Power Pod will give you an expansion of additional 1200watts and for panels and turbines 100watts each. You can connect 3 panels to each pod. Nature's Generators comes included with a standard AC cord that can be used for connecting the Generators into the standard wall outlet. You then can connect whatever items you want to keep running into the Generator's AC outlets so that they can remain on whenever the power may go out.

  • I saw another question that pertains to Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. Just curious if there are plans to produce a generator that can handle those? It really would be an attractive addition to this great product! There are more pros than cons to making that kind of change. The only downside would be cost, but that doesn’t matter.

    Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

At the moment there are no plans to use anykind of Lithium batteries with our system.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • can you charge the natures generator batteries with ac input and solar input at the same time?

    Hello-

    Thanks for reaching to us.

Yes, you are able to charge via AC wall outlet and solar at the same time.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Can I replace the battery in the generator and power pod with lithium ions?

    Hello-

Unfortunately you would not be able to rfeplace them with Lithium batteries.  Our system has been designed around SLA batteries and does not have the correct battery managment system for Lithium.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Suppor Team

  • Can you daisy chain a 100 ah battery to it directly or does it have to be in a pod?

    Hello-

Yes, you can daisy chain a 100 ah battery to the generator.

  • I want to use mine to provide power to an outdoor shed that my wife will be using. Temperatures in the winter typically are in the 30s but can drop down to the 20s and high teens on occasion. Will having the generator setup under these conditions allow it to operate?

    Hello-

It will be able to operate, but in those cold conditions there can be performance loss as batteries perform differently under colder conditions.

    Thanks,

  • Will this unit work with a solar panel with these specs? Rated power: 100W Open circuit voltage (Voc): 21.6V Max power voltage (Vpm): 17.3V Short circuit current (Isc): 6.17A Working current (Iop): 5.78A Output Tolerance: ±3%

    Hello-

That panel should work, you would also need our 50ft solar panel cable in order to connect the panel to our generator.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • If my battery needs replacement on my initial unit (not the power pod) can I drop one of your 100 ah batteries in it instead of the 60 ah battery?

    Hello-

It would work with a larger battery, but it might not fit inside the generator.  With the inverter inside the generator as well, it leaves little room and why we went with the 60Ah battery.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generatot Support Team

  • What indoor area do I need to install a nature generator with two pods?

I'm going camping again in 10 days and i'd like to take a working generator with me! Solar Powered Generator, Gold System Item No. 116055 Ships Directly from Manufacturer 1 $999.99 HELP!!

    Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

It sounds like the battery storage / voltage is to low so it is not activating the chargers, both solar or AC. I would suggest trying to “jump” the battery to bring the voltage up and be able to recharge it. To do so you would need to remove the top of the Nature’s Generator, 4 bolts on each corner and the two bolts on the handle (if you have the cart installed). This will grant you full access to the battery and you will need jumper cables to connect the generator battery to another battery.  You can connect it to a vehicle battery jump the battery that route.

Once you do this, it will send voltage to the generator battery and start charging, you will see the LCD screen on the generator turn on and the battery indicator will start moving up and down.  Leave it connected for about 1 min and then connected it to the wall AC or solar panel and it should start charging.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Is it compatible with other solar panels?

    Hello-

We recommend that you use our solar panels, but if you want to use other, please make sure the are within 17 to 22 volts and no larger than 200W.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • What is the lowest level of battery we should not let our charge get below? Also if we let it run all the way out is that true that it will then not take a charge without jump starting it?

    Hello-

Our Nature's Generator does have protection to stop providing power when the battery is low and it does not let it get to a dangerous place where you would not be able to recharge it.

What sometimes happens is the generator stops providing power and starts beeping letting you know the battery is low so you can disconnect what you have connected and shut the system down to recharge, unfortunately when this happens sometimes the customers do not recharge the battery right away and let it sit for some time (weeks or months), thus the battery still depleting and the voltage getting really low.

At this point the battery in the Nature's Generator would need to be "jump" in order to get the voltage higher and activate the chargers.  As long as you charge the Nature's Generator when the battery is low, you will not have to do this.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Can you run a 750W toaster off of this without draining the battery?

    Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately, at 750W, our Nature's Generator would only be able to provide power for about 15 min or so before the system shuts down due to low battery.  At which point you would need to rehcarge the battery completely before being able to use the toaster again.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • In case of emergency in winter can I use this generator to work my oil furnace?

    Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

That would all depend on the wattage / power your oil furnace requires to operate.  This would determine if the generator would be able to power it and if it can, it will help determine how long it would power it for.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • How long can you run a refrigerator? Also if you leave the solar panel connect how long can you run the refrigerator? Thanks

    Hello-

One Nature's Generator alone on a full battery would be able to power a standard home fridge anywhere from 8 to 12 hours continously before the system shuts down. Having solar panels connected will help during the day time as long as the panels are getting good sunlight, but come the evening and night fall you will only have the 8 to 12 hours and then you will need to recharge the battery to full.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • How long do you estimate one pod with 3 panels would power a fridge freezer? Assuming you're charging via solar panels as you power the appliance?

  • If have the right connecter cable can I use photovoltaic panels be with Nature's Generators? I currently have a piece meal system with five 100 watt photovoltaic panels, but I'm not getting the results I'm after. I wish I had found you guys before spending money on all that!

    Hello-

As long as the panels have MC4 connections and are within 17 to 22 Volts, you would be able to use them.  Apart from that, you will need to also purchase our 50ft solar panel cable, as that will have MC4 connections on one end and our connection on the other to go into the generator.

    Thanks,

  • Can it charge makita 18 volt batteries or would it mess up the charger?

    Hello-

Can you please provide us with the make and model of the charger, so we can verify what the wattage requirements are. We have come accross some battery chargers that require a lot of power and tend to drain the battery faster than one would think.

    Thanks,

  • how many things can you plug in at a time

    Hello-

Our Nature's Generator has three 120V AC outlets you can use to connect devices you are looking to power.  Depending the amount of power those devices require would determine how long the battery would last.

  • With 1800 peak and 1440 watts continuous, I should be able to run my shallow well pump which has a 6amp initial draw. It goes into beeping fault mode every time the pump calls for power? What gives?

    Hello-

To better assist, can you please provide us with additional information on the well pump.

     - Make and Model
     - Volts / Amps
     - How llong are you looking to run the well pump for?

This information will help is determine how much wattage the well pump is actually pulling when it pulls power.  Sometimes with well pumps the draw might require more battery capacity than the generator battery alone.  The issue might not be with the inverter, but more in the lines of additional battery capacity is needed.

    Thanks,

  • My generator has been charging for about 48 hours via AC charger from a wall outlet (after being plugged in for more than a month straight to ensure it was staying charged) and there is no significant gain in battery storage. I tested it, plugging in a Iceco portable fridge/cooler (55W max running power) and instantly the generator beeped signaling a low/empty battery. I have only had it for 1 year, and used it only one time during that period. I assume the battery needs to be jumped to restart it? Wondering what the troubleshooting measures I can take to get it going again. Thank you

  • Hello, do you recommend a third party foldable solar panel? I plan on using the NG one for static use but if I need to grab and go I would like to have one that folds up to a breifcase size for example... Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello-

We do not have any recommendations, but we suggest that the panels you purchase or look at are within 17V – 22V in order to work properly with our system.

Also, if you purchase out generator and you find another panel, you will need to purchase our 50ft solar panel cable as it has our proprietary connection on one end and the MC4 Connection on the other.

  • Hello, Nature Power, we have two Nature Power 1800 generators. They've worked perfectly since hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, but as of a couple of days ago, one of them has stopped charging and nothing will work on it: lights etc. We changed the position of the generator to a different wall-plug. Nothing. The orange power light stays on, then flickers, and nothing charges. Does this mean the generator is 'dead? Thanks for any help you can give. Michael Sharp

    Hello Michael-

  • What is the average watt per hour for solar charging? I understand it depends on sun but in one post someone was given an answer of 5-7 watts per hour at 10mph for the turbine. I’m trying to see which is faster so I know what to use more of. Thanks.

    Hello-

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The solar panel charges up to 100 watts per hour when in use.  The solar panel will tend to provide a more stable recharge as long as it is in the direct sun, as the wind turbine depends on the wind and would need to be consistent wind.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • If you already have your own solar panels, can you use them with this system? Or, can we only use the ones made by NG?

    Hello Alex-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

You can use other panels, does not need to be ours.  But you will need to make sure you have one of our solar panel cables, due to our propriatary connection on our generator no other cable will work.  Out cable is 50ft and on one end it has MC4 connectors and the other end it has our connection.

Additionally, you want to make sure the solar panels you use do not have a charge controller and are within 17 - 22 V.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

  • This generator is able to provide 1800 watt, is that rigth? Because i need almost 1000 to guaranteed all my advices would be full charged at least for 5 hours. If this is about 1800 is so much better. Thks in advance

    Hello Mary-

Thank for reaching out to us and for your interest in our product!

    Correct, our Nature's Generator has an 1800 watt inverter and will be able to provide power to 1000 watts that you are looking for.  Additionally, at 1000 watts our Nature's Generator alone will be able to provide about 30 to 45 min of continuous run time before the system shuts down.  If you are looking to run 1000 watts for about 5hrs, you would need the following;

     - 1 Nature's Generator
     - 4 Power Pod's
     - 10 100 Watt Solar Panels (if you are looking to recharge within a day)

Please feel free to reach out to us via email at support@naturesgenerator.com should you have any additional questions.

  • Will this generator have enough power to operate slide unit on small travel trailer? Husband was reading up on new products to get for 20ft travel trailer and thought this might be something we could use to open up unit and work water pump.

    Hi Linda:

Thank you for contacting Nature's Generator!

It will be very difficult to say with any accuracy if this will or will not work with your trailer.  We would need to know the wattage of the item prior to providing any direction for you.  If you can provide that information, we can then go from there.

    Thanks,

  • On solar anderson port the conectors colors are white, red and green. The solar panel i got have black and red conectors. How do i connect them? Which color goes with which black and red from solar panel? Thanks

    Hello Alexandre-

Thank you for reaching out to us.

    In order to use a 3rd party solar panel with our Nature's Generator you will need to make sure you have the following;

     - Our 50ft Solar Panel Cable.  This cable has an MC4 connection on one end and our propriatary connection on the other end that connects to the solar input on our Nature's Generator.
     - Make sure the 3rd party solar panel has MC4 connections, as that is how you would connect it to our 50ft Solar Panel Cable.  If your panel does not have MC4 connections, you would need to purchase an adapter to make it work.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

  • Is this practical for all day use powering an electric kettle (like this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07FKN76ZS/)? We’re a coffee vendor at a farmers market and want to heat water so we can serve pour overs. Thanks!

    Hello Ian-

Thanks for reaching out to us and for your interest in our product.

Unfortunately, our generator would not be able to sustain power for all day use.  We know that electric kettles require a lot of power and the one you mentioned state is needs 1500 watts, at that power rate it would deplete the battery quickly.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

  • If I plug my camper into this, will it be able to power the microwave and AC? The trailer has a 30 amp service.

    Hello Andy-

Thanks for reaching out to us.

In order to run the AC system, you would need a to add additional Power Pods, this is due to the large amount of wattage AC systems require.  If you try to run it on the Generator alone, it will not give you a long run time.  As for the microwave, this would deplete the battery almost instantly.  Unfortunately, microwaves do require a large amount of voltage in order to operate.

  • Can this unit power a 9 amp portable 110 volt Air conditioner? And if so how long can I run it.

    Hello-

Thank you for your interest in our product!

Yes, this would be able to power a 9 amp 110 volt air conditioning unit, but unfortunately it would only be able to power it for about 5 to 10 min.  At 990 watts, the AC system will draw the power very rapidly from our Nature's Generator.

If you are looking for a system that will be able to power that size AC System, we do currently offer a syster we put together for large air conditioning systems, please see below.

  • Is there a problem associated with plugging in a 110 v. hot tub pump that has a GFCI plug into the ac output of the Nature generator's inverter? Otherwise, the running watts of the pump is 850 watts and the standby power is

    Hello-

Thank you for your interest in our product!

There will be no problem connecting the hot tub pump to the generator, it would be able to power it.  The downside is, at 850 watts our Nature's Generator would only be able to power the pump for about 10 min or so.  To figuere out how large of a system you would need to power the pump, we would need to know how long it would be on for.

Please feel free to reach out to us at support@naturesgenerator.com should you need further assistance.

  • Can the generator be charged by the 3 ways (Ac, solar and wind) atte the same time? Ir would be charged faster?

Yes, the generator can be charged by the 3 ways at the same time and can be charged faster.

  • Is it using 1800 watts of power to charge itself when its plugged in to your home outlet or does it only use a smaller wattage to charge?

Hello:   Thank you for contacting Nature's Generator!   The 1800 watts denotes the amount of available power through the inverter.  The unit when plugged into your home outlet, will draw approximately 90 watts of power to recharge the generator.  Hopefully this helps to answer your question and please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any additonal questions.   Thanks, Nature's Generator

  • Hi I was reading and the generator comes with a 60Ah battery can a 100Ah battery be put in it.

Unfornately cannot. 100Ah is too big to fit into Nature's Generator, but what you can do is to have a Power Pod that has 100Ah battery to daisy chain Nature's Generator. And Power Pod can be stacked right on top of Nature's Generator. Thanks

  • Hi can the generator be used and charge at the same time

Yes, it can be charged while in use.

  • What type are the charge controllers? e.g MPPT, etc.

It is PWM. We have done the testing on PWM v.s. MPPT and concluded there is not much performance difference on 100 watt solar panel or 2 of 100watt solar panels. Thank you for the interest in Nature's Generator.

  • I would Like to install this on my 25 foot boat. Is there a way of hooking it up to the alternator?(perhaps in series with my starting and house batteries) I also have a pro mariner charger, would this be able to be attached to that?

The Nature's Generator was already built in 12V 60Ah Sealed Lead Acid battery. If your existing batteries are also 12V, you may be able to daisy chain them through the expansion port on the back of Nature's Generator. While the alternator charges your existing batteries, it also charges the battery in Nature's Generator after it is daisy chained.

Nature's Generator has 1800watt pure sine wave on three AC output ports. You may be able to use Nature's Generator as the source of power supply for the pro mariner charger. Thank you for the interest in Nature's Generator.

  • my existing 100w solar panels use MC-4 connectors. How would I connect them to the Generator?

You need our solar generator cable to connect the solar panel to Nature's Generator. One end of solar panel cable is MC4 connectors. Thank you for your interest in Nature's Generator.

  • this is for this item SKU: HKNGGN, can It be used all day about 7 hours on a s,all ice cream maker 1/3 HP/ 7 Amps 115V-60Hz 530w? thank you g_beas@hotmail.com

Unfortunately, it cannot assuming the ice cream maker is working continuously. Continous 530watt for 7 hours mean 3710 watt hours (530watt x 7 hours = 3710 watt hours). Nature's Generator has 720 watt hour capacity and Power Pod has 1200 watt hour capacity. To make it work, you need addtional 3 power pods to connector the Nature's Generator. Thank you for the interest in Nature's Generator.

  • Can I replace the 60Ah AGM battery with a 75Ah Lithium-ION Deep Cycle Smart Battery if the size and connectors are the same?

It is not recommended, becuase the internal protections is taylored to the AGM batteries. It may or may not work optimally with the other type batteris. Thank you for the interest in Nature's Generator.

  • Could I connect two Renogy 100-Watt 12-Volt Monocrystalline Solar Panel Slim Design to your unit?

Hi - Thank you for the interest in Nature's Generator. Nature's Generator is 12V system and shall be able to work with any 12V solar panels, but the charging connector has to be compatible with Nature's Generator's solar input port. Thank you.

  • Can I run a blender with this too make smoothies and use a toasters oven to. Like magic bullet (900w) or a (1000w) toasters oven for quick uses.

Hi - Thank you for being interested in Natue's Generator. A quick use of high wattage devices like blender or toaster is fine.
Nature's Generator has certain tolerance to accommodate higher than the rated 1800 watts, but it is not recommended to run the devices at one time that have the total output more than the rated 1800 wattts.  Thank you

  • what is the battery life? how many recharges?

Hello - the typical life span of the SLA battery in the Nature's Generator is about 500 to 800 cycles.

  • Can I use a 350 watt solar module with Nominal 38.2 volt, 9.16 amp, DC output to charge the Nature's Generator 720 battery system

Our Nature's Generator is a nominal 12V system. If you will not be using the Nature's Generator Power Panel to recharge the Nature's Generator, you will need to ensure that the solar panel sourced has a rated voltage around 17V to make it compatible with our system. The wattage of the solar panel can vary from 10W up to 200W as the Nature's Generator is built with a 200W solar charge controller. And as you're probably aware, the higher the wattage of the solar panel used, the faster it will recharge the system.

  • Hello, instead of using 3 solar panels of 100watts each, can I use only 1 panel of 300 watts mono type? Do you have 100 ft solar cable? I live in a Condo and I do not know is 50 ft is enough. Best Regards

The Nature's Generator is built with a 200W solar charge controller which means you won't be able to use any solar panels that are higher than 300W. If you have or know of a 200W panel that you would like to use instead of the Nature's Generator Power Panel, feel free to email us the specs so that we can help you confirm the compatibility. We currently do not have a 100ft solar panel cable, only the 50ft solar panel cable. Feel free to let us know if any other questions.

  • What is the continuous power output and for how long? And is this a deep cell battery? For a cabin. Thank you! Thank you

The Nature's Generator has a built-in inverter with a maximum output of 1800W. The built-in battery is a 60Ah/720Wh Sealed Lead Acid battery.

  • For when it is time to replace batteries: are the batteries an industry standard that can be obtained multiple places, or is it a custom battery that can only be purchased from you? The question applies to both the generator and the power pack.

Although we always recommend that replacement batteries for the Nature's Generator and Nature's Generator Power Pod be sourced through us when it's time for replacement, sourcing them elsewhere is still an option.

When sourcing elsewhere, we recommend you pay attention to the following details:
    1. Ensure that you source a sealed lead acid battery with the same capacity.
    2. Ensure the battery you source has campatible terminals.
    3. Ensure the battery size is appropriate to fit inside the Generator or Power Pod

  • Can I attached additional Solar Panels to the Wind Input port, since the Solar Input port is limited to 200 Watts? I would like to achieve a quicker recharge time by having (5) 100 Watts Solar Panels attached to the Generator, two on the Solar Input and three on the Wind Input.

Hello, you cannot connect solar panels to the wind input on the Nature's Generator. Although the solar and wind inputs may look the same, they do not support the same cable connectors. If you are looking to increase your recharge ability using the wind input you can connect up to two wind turbines in addition to the two solar panels.
