Nature's Generator Popular Uses

Nature's Generator is a 1800W Portable Solar Generator that allows you a free and easy way to generate electricity for everyday and emergency use.

The system consists of a battery pack that stores electrical energy, multiple charging controller (AC input, Solar Panel input and Wind Turbine input have their own controller) and 1800W Pure Sane Wave inverter, a state-of-the-art electronics that convert 12-Volt to normal, everyday household electricity.

Low maintenance costs: Nature's generator does not require monthly maintenance. Keep plugged in or recharge every 4 months of non-use, and you don't have to worry about sudden power outages.

Clean and quiet operation: Unlike gas generators, Nature's generator doesn’t have any moving parts. This significantly reduces the amount of noise they produce while running.

Renewable energy from the sun and wind: Nature's generator provides you the ability to harness a renewable energy from the sun and wind (Solar Panel and Wind Turbine are sold separately)

  • Hello Kevin,

    Thanks for your inquiry.

A 300 watts solar panel might be possible if you have Nature's generator Elite (Black and green in color), but if you have the standard system (White and green in color) it can only handle up to 200 watts of solar charging,  anything more than 200 watts will not be safe for the generator.

Should you have any other concerns, please email us at support@naturesgenerator.com

    Thanks,

    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello Jonathan,

    Thanks for reaching us!

If you have 300-700 watts continuous, out Nature's generator elite (1200watts) will give you approximately 1-2 hours of continuous runtime. Power Pod will give you an expansion of additional 1200watts and for panels and turbines 100watts each. You can connect 3 panels to each pod. Nature's Generators comes included with a standard AC cord that can be used for connecting the Generators into the standard wall outlet. You then can connect whatever items you want to keep running into the Generator's AC outlets so that they can remain on whenever the power may go out.

Should you have any other concern please email us directly at support@naturesgenerator.com

    Thanks,

  • Hello-

    Thanks for reaching to us.

Yes, you are able to charge via AC wall outlet and solar at the same time.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Unfortunately you would not be able to rfeplace them with Lithium batteries.  Our system has been designed around SLA batteries and does not have the correct battery managment system for Lithium.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Suppor Team

  • Hello-

Yes, you can daisy chain a 100 ah battery to the generator.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

It will be able to operate, but in those cold conditions there can be performance loss as batteries perform differently under colder conditions.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

That panel should work, you would also need our 50ft solar panel cable in order to connect the panel to our generator.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

It would work with a larger battery, but it might not fit inside the generator.  With the inverter inside the generator as well, it leaves little room and why we went with the 60Ah battery.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generatot Support Team

  • Hello-

You can technically install it anywhere indoor you would like. It would all depend where the items you are looking to power are located.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

To better assist, can you please reach out to support@naturesgenerator.com and provide us with the average wattage you use or are planning to use.  This will help determine how large of a set up you would need.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

It sounds like the battery storage / voltage is to low so it is not activating the chargers, both solar or AC. I would suggest trying to “jump” the battery to bring the voltage up and be able to recharge it. To do so you would need to remove the top of the Nature’s Generator, 4 bolts on each corner and the two bolts on the handle (if you have the cart installed). This will grant you full access to the battery and you will need jumper cables to connect the generator battery to another battery.  You can connect it to a vehicle battery jump the battery that route.

Once you do this, it will send voltage to the generator battery and start charging, you will see the LCD screen on the generator turn on and the battery indicator will start moving up and down.  Leave it connected for about 1 min and then connected it to the wall AC or solar panel and it should start charging.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately, at 1700W it would not be able to power it.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

  • Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Our systems are not EMP Hardened.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

We recommend that you use our solar panels, but if you want to use other, please make sure the are within 17 to 22 volts and no larger than 200W.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Our Nature's Generator does have protection to stop providing power when the battery is low and it does not let it get to a dangerous place where you would not be able to recharge it.

What sometimes happens is the generator stops providing power and starts beeping letting you know the battery is low so you can disconnect what you have connected and shut the system down to recharge, unfortunately when this happens sometimes the customers do not recharge the battery right away and let it sit for some time (weeks or months), thus the battery still depleting and the voltage getting really low.

At this point the battery in the Nature's Generator would need to be "jump" in order to get the voltage higher and activate the chargers.  As long as you charge the Nature's Generator when the battery is low, you will not have to do this.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately, at 750W, our Nature's Generator would only be able to provide power for about 15 min or so before the system shuts down due to low battery.  At which point you would need to rehcarge the battery completely before being able to use the toaster again.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

That would all depend on the wattage / power your oil furnace requires to operate.  This would determine if the generator would be able to power it and if it can, it will help determine how long it would power it for.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

One Nature's Generator alone on a full battery would be able to power a standard home fridge anywhere from 8 to 12 hours continously before the system shuts down. Having solar panels connected will help during the day time as long as the panels are getting good sunlight, but come the evening and night fall you will only have the 8 to 12 hours and then you will need to recharge the battery to full.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

As long as the panels have MC4 connections and are within 17 to 22 Volts, you would be able to use them.  Apart from that, you will need to also purchase our 50ft solar panel cable, as that will have MC4 connections on one end and our connection on the other to go into the generator.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Can you please provide us with the make and model of the charger, so we can verify what the wattage requirements are. We have come accross some battery chargers that require a lot of power and tend to drain the battery faster than one would think.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Our Nature's Generator has three 120V AC outlets you can use to connect devices you are looking to power.  Depending the amount of power those devices require would determine how long the battery would last.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

To better assist, can you please provide us with additional information on the well pump.

     - Make and Model
     - Volts / Amps
     - How llong are you looking to run the well pump for?

This information will help is determine how much wattage the well pump is actually pulling when it pulls power.  Sometimes with well pumps the draw might require more battery capacity than the generator battery alone.  The issue might not be with the inverter, but more in the lines of additional battery capacity is needed.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Yes, you are able to have the solar panels connected and charging while in use.

  • Hello-

Yes, you are able to run two refrigerators at the same time, but we would recommend adding an additiona Power Pod to make sure there is enough battery capacity to run through the night.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

After a charge and if the system is off, we recommend to recharge the generator every 3 to 4 months.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

  • Hello-

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Yes, you are able to have the generator connected to home AC outlet and have a DVR plugged into the generator at the same time.  As long as you have the main power and 120V power on it will detect when the grid power goes out and will start powering what you have connected.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Our Nature's Generator has a 200W charge controller, so you are able to connect two 100W solar panels to our system using one of our 50ft solar panel cables and an MC4 branch connector.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Genreator Support Team

  • Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

If the voltage on the battery is not to low, you will be able to recharge via solar or AC input, otherwise it would need to a jump start to take the voltage up to be able to recharge.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Yes, you are able to use other solar panels.  We just recommend that the voltage of the panels are withing 17V to 22V and have MC4 connections.  Also, you will need one of our 50ft solar panel cables to conenct the panel to the generator.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Yes, our solar panels can be left outside, they are weather proof and able to withstand rain and hale.

    Thank,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

By adding a second solar panel it will shorten the run time.  In order to do this you would need an MC4 Branch Connector, this will allow you to connect two solar panels to one our of solar panel cables.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

We do not have any recommendations, but we suggest that the panels you purchase or look at are within 17V – 22V in order to work properly with our system.

Also, if you purchase out generator and you find another panel, you will need to purchase our 50ft solar panel cable as it has our proprietary connection on one end and the MC4 Connection on the other.

    Thank you,

    Support Team

  • Hello-

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The solar panel charges up to 100 watts per hour when in use.  The solar panel will tend to provide a more stable recharge as long as it is in the direct sun, as the wind turbine depends on the wind and would need to be consistent wind.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello Alex-

Thanks for reaching out to us!

You can use other panels, does not need to be ours.  But you will need to make sure you have one of our solar panel cables, due to our propriatary connection on our generator no other cable will work.  Out cable is 50ft and on one end it has MC4 connectors and the other end it has our connection.

Additionally, you want to make sure the solar panels you use do not have a charge controller and are within 17 - 22 V.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello Mary-

Thank for reaching out to us and for your interest in our product!

    Correct, our Nature's Generator has an 1800 watt inverter and will be able to provide power to 1000 watts that you are looking for.  Additionally, at 1000 watts our Nature's Generator alone will be able to provide about 30 to 45 min of continuous run time before the system shuts down.  If you are looking to run 1000 watts for about 5hrs, you would need the following;

     - 1 Nature's Generator
     - 4 Power Pod's
     - 10 100 Watt Solar Panels (if you are looking to recharge within a day)

Please feel free to reach out to us via email at support@naturesgenerator.com should you have any additional questions.

    Thanks,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hi Linda:

Thank you for contacting Nature's Generator!

It will be very difficult to say with any accuracy if this will or will not work with your trailer.  We would need to know the wattage of the item prior to providing any direction for you.  If you can provide that information, we can then go from there.

    Thanks,

    Support Team @ Nature's Generator

  • Hello Alexandre-

Thank you for reaching out to us.

    In order to use a 3rd party solar panel with our Nature's Generator you will need to make sure you have the following;

     - Our 50ft Solar Panel Cable.  This cable has an MC4 connection on one end and our propriatary connection on the other end that connects to the solar input on our Nature's Generator.
     - Make sure the 3rd party solar panel has MC4 connections, as that is how you would connect it to our 50ft Solar Panel Cable.  If your panel does not have MC4 connections, you would need to purchase an adapter to make it work.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thank you,

  • Hello Ian-

Thanks for reaching out to us and for your interest in our product.

Unfortunately, our generator would not be able to sustain power for all day use.  We know that electric kettles require a lot of power and the one you mentioned state is needs 1500 watts, at that power rate it would deplete the battery quickly.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello Andy-

Thanks for reaching out to us.

In order to run the AC system, you would need a to add additional Power Pods, this is due to the large amount of wattage AC systems require.  If you try to run it on the Generator alone, it will not give you a long run time.  As for the microwave, this would deplete the battery almost instantly.  Unfortunately, microwaves do require a large amount of voltage in order to operate.

Please reach out to us at support@naturesgenerator.com and let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thank you,

  • Hello-

Thanks for reaching out to us and for your interest in our product.

Yes, the run times displayed are based on the single item connected and the battery is at a full charge.  The more items connect, the less run time you will have because it would be drawing more power.

Please let us know if there is anything else that we can assist with.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Thank you for your interest in our products!

You can daisy chain Power Pods to the Nature's Generator to add more run time and add additional Power Pods if needed, but unfortunately, you are not able to daisy chain to Nature's Generators together to add more wattage output.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Our Nature's Generator and Nature's Power Pod have a 200 watt charge controller, so you would be able to connect two 100 watt solar panels to the generator and each power pod.  In order to do this, you would need the to make sure you have one of our 50ft solar panel cable and am MC4 Branch Connector.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Hello-

Thank you for your interest in our product!

Yes, this would be able to power a 9 amp 110 volt air conditioning unit, but unfortunately it would only be able to power it for about 5 to 10 min.  At 990 watts, the AC system will draw the power very rapidly from our Nature's Generator.

If you are looking for a system that will be able to power that size AC System, we do currently offer a syster we put together for large air conditioning systems, please see below.

  • Hello-

Thank you for your interest in our product!

There will be no problem connecting the hot tub pump to the generator, it would be able to power it.  The downside is, at 850 watts our Nature's Generator would only be able to power the pump for about 10 min or so.  To figuere out how large of a system you would need to power the pump, we would need to know how long it would be on for.

Please feel free to reach out to us at support@naturesgenerator.com should you need further assistance.

    Thank you,
    Nature's Generator Support Team

  • Yes, the generator can be charged by the 3 ways at the same time and can be charged faster.

  • Hello:   Thank you for contacting Nature's Generator!   The 1800 watts denotes the amount of available power through the inverter.  The unit when plugged into your home outlet, will draw approximately 90 watts of power to recharge the generator.  Hopefully this helps to answer your question and please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any additonal questions.   Thanks, Nature's Generator

  • Unfornately cannot. 100Ah is too big to fit into Nature's Generator, but what you can do is to have a Power Pod that has 100Ah battery to daisy chain Nature's Generator. And Power Pod can be stacked right on top of Nature's Generator. Thanks

  • Yes, it can be charged while in use.

  • It is PWM. We have done the testing on PWM v.s. MPPT and concluded there is not much performance difference on 100 watt solar panel or 2 of 100watt solar panels. Thank you for the interest in Nature's Generator.

  • The Nature's Generator was already built in 12V 60Ah Sealed Lead Acid battery. If your existing batteries are also 12V, you may be able to daisy chain them through the expansion port on the back of Nature's Generator. While the alternator charges your existing batteries, it also charges the battery in Nature's Generator after it is daisy chained.

Nature's Generator has 1800watt pure sine wave on three AC output ports. You may be able to use Nature's Generator as the source of power supply for the pro mariner charger. Thank you for the interest in Nature's Generator.

  • You need our solar generator cable to connect the solar panel to Nature's Generator. One end of solar panel cable is MC4 connectors. Thank you for your interest in Nature's Generator.

  • Unfortunately, it cannot assuming the ice cream maker is working continuously. Continous 530watt for 7 hours mean 3710 watt hours (530watt x 7 hours = 3710 watt hours). Nature's Generator has 720 watt hour capacity and Power Pod has 1200 watt hour capacity. To make it work, you need addtional 3 power pods to connector the Nature's Generator. Thank you for the interest in Nature's Generator.

  • It is not recommended, becuase the internal protections is taylored to the AGM batteries. It may or may not work optimally with the other type batteris. Thank you for the interest in Nature's Generator.

  • Hi - Thank you for the interest in Nature's Generator. Nature's Generator is 12V system and shall be able to work with any 12V solar panels, but the charging connector has to be compatible with Nature's Generator's solar input port. Thank you.

  • Hi - Thank you for being interested in Natue's Generator. A quick use of high wattage devices like blender or toaster is fine.
Nature's Generator has certain tolerance to accommodate higher than the rated 1800 watts, but it is not recommended to run the devices at one time that have the total output more than the rated 1800 wattts.  Thank you

  • Hello - the typical life span of the SLA battery in the Nature's Generator is about 500 to 800 cycles.

  • Our Nature's Generator is a nominal 12V system. If you will not be using the Nature's Generator Power Panel to recharge the Nature's Generator, you will need to ensure that the solar panel sourced has a rated voltage around 17V to make it compatible with our system. The wattage of the solar panel can vary from 10W up to 200W as the Nature's Generator is built with a 200W solar charge controller. And as you're probably aware, the higher the wattage of the solar panel used, the faster it will recharge the system.

  • The Nature's Generator is built with a 200W solar charge controller which means you won't be able to use any solar panels that are higher than 300W. If you have or know of a 200W panel that you would like to use instead of the Nature's Generator Power Panel, feel free to email us the specs so that we can help you confirm the compatibility. We currently do not have a 100ft solar panel cable, only the 50ft solar panel cable. Feel free to let us know if any other questions.

  • The Nature's Generator has a built-in inverter with a maximum output of 1800W. The built-in battery is a 60Ah/720Wh Sealed Lead Acid battery.

  • Although we always recommend that replacement batteries for the Nature's Generator and Nature's Generator Power Pod be sourced through us when it's time for replacement, sourcing them elsewhere is still an option.

When sourcing elsewhere, we recommend you pay attention to the following details:
    1. Ensure that you source a sealed lead acid battery with the same capacity.
    2. Ensure the battery you source has campatible terminals.
    3. Ensure the battery size is appropriate to fit inside the Generator or Power Pod

  • Hello, you cannot connect solar panels to the wind input on the Nature's Generator. Although the solar and wind inputs may look the same, they do not support the same cable connectors. If you are looking to increase your recharge ability using the wind input you can connect up to two wind turbines in addition to the two solar panels.
