Replacing this unit was pretty straight forward. The multi-pin connection boots on the original board were coated in some kind of foam sealant but it was soft and easily removed. Otherwise the process consisted of pulling out some connector boots, removing some tiny phillips screws, and then doing it all in reverse order to install the new one. I had it replaced and charging in about 20-30 minutes...much of that time was getting the cover off and back on again.
